Yes, we accommodate short-term and mid-term respite stays at our Glen Alpine residence. The duration ranges between two days and two months. Longer stays may be arranged by agreement, depending on the needs of the client. We also offer in-home respite where the client receives 24hr care in their home while their family takes a break.

We understand how important it is for our clients to feel comfortable and supported by a care worker they have become familiar with. We always do our best to ensure consistency. However, this will depend on factors such as prior commitments, and availability. We do encourage our clients, particularly during longer stays, to allow different support workers to assist them so that we have a choice of support workers who can easily fill in for a colleague who may become ill. If your preferred support worker is not available, we will work with you to find a suitable replacement who meets your needs.

The cost of our services will vary depending on the level of support required. Please contact us for a free initial consultation to discuss your specific needs and we will provide you with an accurate quote.

Fees you should be aware of are respite setup and cancellation fees. Respite bookings require one week's notice for cancellation or the first week will be payable in full.
Standard shifts require 24 hour’s notice for cancellation otherwise the shift will be payable in full.
The cancellation fee for both standard shifts and respite care will be waived in the case of a medical emergency. Documentation will be required.
